Daniele Baroni

My research interests are mainly focused on forest birds in two diverse environments, the boreal forest in Finland and the mountain forests in the Alps. During my PhD, I used gps tracking and passive acoustic monitoring to address fundamental ecological topics (habitat selection and abundance estimates) on pygmy owls in the managed boreal forest. In my current postdoctoral project, I am using satellite tracking to study habitat selection and movement ecology of taiga bean geese during the breeding period.
