Carina is a Research Council of Finland-fellow and passionate about large bird of prey ecology. In her research, she studies how young White-tailed Eagles (Haliaeetus albicilla) learn to navigate the landscape and identify suitable habitats to survive until reproduction. She also works on Human-Wildlife conflicts, especially how the development of renewable energy influences birds of prey. Since 2021, she has worked in Toni Laaksonen’s Animal Ecology Lab.
