Researcher Sari Holopainen studies migration and harvest of declining duck species. In this project funded by The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the purpose is to improve sustainable harvest management. Sari defended her PhD about duck habitat use and reproduction in boreal wetlands at the University of Helsinki in2015. Recently Sari has studied nest predation of ground nesting birds and especially the effects of alien predators on predation risks.
